The artist used the binoculars from the empire state building as the backdrop for the 2 cities and a Lichtenstein inspired polka dot design. The actual images themselves are drawn with pigment ink pen and are black and white. Based on the holiday photos, the illustration captures the main landmarks in NYC, everything from the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty to the Broadway shows, elements of street art and the heady mix that makes up New York.
